Apocryphal

Apocryphal: [uh-pok-ruh-fuh l]

Here's how to remember:

When broken into parts, apocryphal becomes APO + CRY + PHAL(Fail).  You cry because you failed which cannot be true because I'm sure you passed so therefore it's of questionable authenticity.
